First Look on Ecco S-Three: Is comfort redesigned?

The product range for women

The trend is to make hybrid golf shoes; usable both on the course and outside. It’s a bit in this spirit that the new Ecco S-Three are designed with a new injection technology supposed to guarantee incomparable comfort. Review of the high-end troops.

An injected sole for support by area

The technological innovation here is the ZONAL FLUIDFORM ™ direct injection, allowing the construction of a molded midsole in 3 zones; heels, arch and toe for added cushioning, stability and comfort.

The heel thus receives maximum comfort. The central part obtains more rigidity for a great stability during the swing. And the tip is the most flexible for maximum comfort when the player walks in between shots. Hence, the name S-Three. The injections create effects in the sole giving a unique style (see photos below)

Waterproof with GORE-TEX®

With an outer crust in Nappa leather and the adoption of GORE-TEX® technology, the shoe is completely waterproof but also breathable. In addition, the award-winning ECCO DYNAMIC TRACTION SYSTEM ™ (E-DTS ™) outsole design offers over 100 bar of traction and over 800 traction angles for excellent grip in all playing conditions.
On the inside, a double inner layer of neoprene on the collar and heel further improves comfort.

A lot of promises for those high-end shoes

At Ecco (golf anyway), we must admit that the style is improving and following trends a little more. The S-Three are a little less clumsy and round infusing a dynamic style. Now, we can compare them to Puma Ignite for example.
Modernity that comes at a price. The pair that will be available for sale in the spring will be negotiated around €200. A high-end positioning that will surely lead the potential buyer to head for Pro SL with the Boa option or as mentioned above the Puma Ignite.
